Love the Tool Library and want to contribute?
If you like this project and want to get involved, here are a few ways you could help us out:
Financial donations are always welcome! With your money we could upgrade the storage space for our tools, get access to an improved online platform and buy more tools for the community.
Donate your time and skills. We need volunteers to help run the Tool Library. We need people to be onsite during opening hours to help with the collection of tools, processing memberships and other administrative tasks, fixing tools and/or facilitating repair cafes and workshops. If you would like to volunteer, please get in touch with us and tell us what skills you have and how much time are you willing to spend with us.
Sign up to the Tool Library.
Spread the word! Tell your friends, family and neighbours about us!
We Need Tools!
We accept donations of all sorts of tools, so long as they are in good working condition. From simple hand tools like screwdrivers or hammers to larger tools such as wheelbarrows or shovels, and power tools such as electric drills and weed eaters. Check out our wishlist here!
In return, you can get a free membership! Depending on the tools donated, we'll give you up to a year's membership for free.
Our aim is to keep the Tool Library as accessible as possible. For that reason we have a small membership fee, and that money is used to pay for tool maintenance and repairs.
With extra financial donations, we can replace key tools that are most frequently used or expensive tools (e.g. circular saws, electric drills, etc.) that many community members would not otherwise have access to. We are also purchasing safety equipment and learning materials, that are less likely to be donated.
If you would like to make a donation please contact us for the details.
